Sitar Arts Center Mural Intern Artists - Claire Perry, Be'Len Rice, Lucy Gilmore, Linh Nguyen, Taylor Banks, Angel McNeill, Davina Peterson
Sitar Arts Center’s Mural Arts Program is a paid summer internship for emerging artistic talents ages 14-24. In this dynamic introduction to the creative economy, interns collaboratively create a public art piece. Past murals can be seen across DC.
The interns created mural panels in person and at home while receiving guidance from program mentors. This mural was made at the center over the summer. They took inspiration from distortion and found balance to create a colorful, harmonious piece filled with life.
