Sitar Arts Center’s Mural Arts Program is a paid summer internship for emerging artistic talents ages 14-24. In this dynamic introduction to the creative economy, interns collaboratively create a public art piece. Past murals can be seen across DC.
The interns created mural panels in person and at home while receiving guidance from program mentors. Each intern was randomly assigned a color and the freedom to pick an art style to take inspiration from and create their city. The whole piece is a symbol of peace and unity within their worlds.
